Your Instructors:  Mr. Rick Williams is the head instructor of the school. He is currently a seventh degree Black Belt with more than thirty four years of martial arts training and instruction behind him.  Mr. Williams is a charter member of the Texas Tae Kwon Do Federation, a non profit chartered entity, and the oldest of its kind in the state of Texas.

He also is one of a three member panel of the Federation’s senior Black Belt advisory board. This board oversees the advancement of all Black Belt candidates and certification of all registered Federation black belts.

What we Teach:  Contemporary Fighting Arts is a blend of several styles and systems of Martial Arts. The core and base of the training will be in the ancient form of Song Moo Kwon. Of the five major Kwon’s (schools) of Tae Kwon Do (Korean martial arts), Song Moo Kwon is the oldest style and has a greater emphasis on the spiritual side of the human experience than any of the other Kwon’s. The student will train in all of the basics of this style while learning other needed fighting skills drawn from the many years of training and experience of the instructors. While the students will have a core style of training they will also have a much greater understanding of the Martial Arts system and different fighting skills.

Our Goal as Instructors:  Karate is not a sport it is a life style. The instructors strive to instill in the students, not just fighting skill, but self confidence, a healthy self image and life skills that will lead the student to a healthier happier life of leadership and success.  The spiritual side is recognized in all students and the instructors understand that a happy healthy child or adult is a more productive student and citizen. Many of the youth and children of today are overwhelmed by the size and violence of our society. The instructors are striving to bring a confident peace to the students that will allow them to reach their full potential in today’s world.
